A couple weeks ago, I got to experience my first New York Fashion Week, and it was one of the absolute best weeks of my life! It has always been a dream of mine to attend NYFW and I can’t believe it became a reality this year! From meetings, to shows, to parties, the week was busy busy busy (in a GOOD way of course)!

I have to be honest, I was extremely nervous coming into this week because I had no idea what to expect. I tend to get overwhelmed easily in situations where I’m pushed outside my comfort zone. With that being said, there’s absolutely no way I would’ve survived the week without my amazing roomies, Dede, Lauren, and Dani! Having girls that constantly lift each other up and stay positive through every situation was amazing. These girls have truly been the biggest blessing in my life!  We stayed at Dream Hotel, which was incredible, so I’ll be doing a full blog post on that next week to tell y’all about the whole experience!

All the outfits that I wore are linked above and below (: I hope y’all have a great weekend!!

For those of y’all who don’t know, I went to Texas A&M University, and graduated this past December. A&M’s #1 rival is University of Texas, whose school colors are burnt orange and white, which is why I’m a little embarrassed to say burnt orange is my favorite color right now (Aggies, please don’t send hate mail)! I’ve been seeing this color EVERYWHERE, and it has definitely grown on me- reminds me of a pumpkin spice latte!

I got my sweater from Nordstrom, and it’s under $40!! I just wanted to remind y’all that Nordstrom has such a wide range of price ranges, and there really is something for everyone! Also, my leopard clutch is under $50. I had always been a big fan of the Clare V clutch, but this one is at a much better price point!

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

How To Achieve The Smoothest Skin

I have struggled with very dry skin my entire life. I can’t tell y’all how many products I’ve tried that say “for dry skin”, but just don’t do the job. I heard about Kopari coconut oil products a while back, so I decided to test out a few of them to see what all the hype was about. Y’all….”obsessed” would absolutely be an understatement. If you’ve ever struggled with having healthy, smooth skin, you have to try these products. I tried four different products (body scrub, coconut melt, body milk, and body oil), and reviews are down below!

I’ve always had a love-hate relationship when it comes to body scrubs. I love exfoliating my skin, but normal scrubs will usually take away the little oil my skin does have and leave it feeling extremely dry. So when I tried this coconut oil scrub for the first time, I fell in LOVE. Y’all, this stuff is so hydrating and leaves your skin SO smooth!

Next, I love this coconut melt because you can use it for several different things. I use it most to moisturize my face and take off my makeup. I also use it as a hair mask once every couple weeks!

The coconut body milk is easily one of the most moisturizing lotions I’ve ever used! As I said before, I have tried so many different lotions, and this one definitely leaves my skin feeling smooth all day- not just an hour after applying.

Last, but certainly not least, this coconut body oil is ahhhmazing!! The number one issue I’ve always has with body oils is looking too “greasy”. I know that sounds gross, but it’s the truth! I use this oil all the time because it leaves your skin with the prettiest glow.

Pink Button Down Top with Modcloth

Top: Modcloth | Jeans: Modcloth | Purse: Similar | Flats: Sam Edelman

In the words of Elle Woods, “whoever said orange was the new pink was seriously disturbed”. Hehe, but seriously, pink will absolutely always be my favorite color, so naturally I was drawn to this pretty little top. I just love how feminine it is!

It’s a great top to dress up for work (just pair it with a pencil skirt), or dress it down with some jeans and flats like I did! I found the top at Modcloth, which has an amazing selection of unique pieces. From clothing, to shoes and accessories, they carry items that are so different from everyone else!

On another note, Houston is about to get hit by a major storm this weekend! I was supposed to fly out to Cabo, but unfortunately, I don’t think that is going to happen. If you are in the South Texas area, please stay safe in this weather!!

Black and White Cardigan

Cardigan: Nordstrom | Tank: Similar | Jeans: Articles of Society | Booties: Vince Camuto | Purse: Similar

Oversized cardigans are definitely one of my favorite clothing items for fall! I ordered this one online from Nordstrom, and was SO pleasantly surprised at how lightweight the material is. It’s the perfect transition piece to wear now and into the beginning of fall when the weather is still warm. One of my favorite reasons for shopping online at Nordstrom is because they offer free shipping and free returns (they put the return label in the box, which makes it SO easy)! Even though this cardigan worked out perfectly, there are some things that don’t fit right sometimes, so I love knowing that the return process is so simple!

I paired the cardigan with a simple black tank for a neutral look (y’all know I love my neutrals!), but you could also throw this on over a colored tank for a brighter look.

I got these booties last year and wore them ALL the time. I am so excited because they came back this year and are available in every size! I just ordered another pair because mine are so worn out!

August is already half way over, and fall is approaching FAST! As much as I love cocktails by the pool, beach vacations, and tanned skin, I am SO ready for the next season! My absolute favorite thing about fall is the clothes (haha of course). Comfy sweaters, scarves, dresses, and booties… bring it on!

Since the weather doesn’t get cooler in Houston for awhile, my favorite fall looks consist of little dresses paired with booties. That way, I get a great fall look without sweating my booty off!

You can shop my entire outfit from Nordstrom. Since they carry everything from clothing, to shoes, to accessories (like this hat), Nordstrom makes building a fall wardrobe SO easy!

I hope everyone has a fabulous rest of the week!

Mustard Ruffle Dress

Dress: Topshop | Clutch: BP. | Heels: Steve Madden

I never thought I would be one to love the color mustard, but y’all, it has been my absolute fave lately!! I first saw this dress when I was scrolling through Nordstrom’s website and it was paired with a black shirt underneath. Ok first, let me address that trend: it needs to END! (Sorry if you’re reading this and you like it, I just personally do not haha). If you’re not sure what trend I’m talking about, just click the link to the dress above and you’ll see it! The top underneath immediately turned me off, so I didn’t buy it.

When I was walking through the store last weekend, I saw the dress without a shirt underneath, and I’m SO glad I did! I absolutely love the dress by itself and the pretty ruffle details. I paired the dress with a leopard clutch and some nude heels!

How To Style All White for Fall

Even though Summer is coming to an end soon (holy moly, where did the time go?!), that does not mean I am ready to give up white! I’m not gonna lie, I’m usually a rule follower, except when it comes to “no white after Labor Day”. I used to think white jeans were a big “no no” in the fall/winter, but if styled correctly, they look great!

One of my favorite ways to wear white in fall is adding a cozy, neutral-colored cardigan! This one from Sabi Boutique is one of my absolute faves. The color and fit make it the perfect piece to throw on over any outfit this fall!

Happy Friday, friends!! For those of y’all who don’t know, I just moved into a new apartment in Houston (I previously lived in College Station!). Let’s be honest, the actual “moving” part is not fun, but getting to decorate a brand new place is a blast!

The #Nsale could not have come at a more perfect time because I’m able to get tons of great pieces for my new home on sale. I linked my eight favorite pieces above!

Once I get my place put together, I will do a full home tour! In the meantime, be sure to follow my Insta story (@champagneandchanel) and snapchat (emi29) for little sneak peeks!

Romper: Nordstrom Rack | Heels: Steve Madden

I feel like every girl needs that one pair of nude heels that will literally match anything, and this pair is my go-to! If you’ve been following my blog for a little while, you’ll know I’m a huge fan of nude shoes (it’s basically all I wear)! My mom actually tells me all the time that I need to add some color to my shoe game, but I can’t help it, I’m ALWAYS drawn to good neutrals!

If you’re on the hunt for a nude pair of heels, HauteLook is having a flash event with Steve Madden, and these little cuties are 53% off! For those of y’all who aren’t familiar with HauteLook, it is a Nordstrom company that offers TONS of designer products at amazing savings. Who doesn’t love a great deal?! HauteLook memberships are free, and they offer free shipping on purchases over $100!

My floral romper is from Nordstrom Rack, which is a sister company to Hautelook. They also have a huge selection of designer products at amazing prices (my romper is on sale for 60% off!!). This is a great transitional romper to wear now and into fall (just pair some booties with it when the weather gets cooler).

I hope everyone has a fabulous rest of the week!
