Fall Outfit Under $100

Would you believe me if I said every piece of this outfit is under $100?!? I absolutely love finding fabulous outfits that don’t break the bank. I bought these Steve Madden boots last year and am so excited that Nordstrom brought them back again because they’re a great designer dupe for a fraction of the price.

If you’re shopping on a budget, Nordstrom has a page on their site called Topshop & Trend, which has tons of brands that are a little bit lower priced. When I’m shopping online, I usually go straight to that page because it has all of my favorite brands (BP, Free People, Topshop, Leith, Lush & a few others).

I hope everyone’s week is off to a great start! The weather here in Houston has been amazing and my momma comes in town today so I have absolutely nothing to complain about! Unfortunately she’s only here for a day, BUT she comes back this weekend for Create & Cultivate so I’m super excited!

Last weekend, Dede and I road tripped to Austin where we met up with Lynlee and Amanda to experience ACL (Austin City Limits- a music festival)! I had never been to ACL before so I was excited to see what all the hype was about! I’m not going to lie, having back stage passes to the Homeaway stage made the festival much more enjoyable! There were over 75,000 people there, so having a little area to escape was so nice!

If you followed along on my Intastories, you probably saw that we stayed in the most incredible house, thanks to Homeaway. In case you missed it, you can view the house here. If you’re planning a trip and are looking for a place to stay, definitely check out Homeaway because they have amazing houses around the world.

All of the outfits that I wore over the weekend are linked below!

Black Sweater & Blanket Scarf

Sweater: BP | Scarf: Similar | Jeans: Topshop | Booties: Kristin Cavallari

Fun fact about me: I’ve never seen snow!! When my family takes vacations, we always go somewhere tropical. The one year we went to New York for Christmas, unfortunately it didn’t snow. So with that being said, I am currently planning a trip somewhere that I can experience snow for the first! I either want to go to Colorado or Lake Tahoe because I’ve heard amazing things about both. If you have been to either and have advice, please leave a comment below!

This outfit is definitely something I would pack for cooler weather (except maybe no holes in jeans haha)! This black sweater from Nordstrom (under $50) is a great basic for fall, and comes in several other colors. Unfortunately my scarf already sold out, but Nordstrom has TONS of other great options so I linked my favorites below! Also, I can’t tell y’all how many pairs of tan booties I have, but these have become my absolute favorite!!

Fall Lip Color Guide + Lancome Gift

Lip Color: Lancome “Plum Plum Girl” | Sweater: BP | Heels: Similar | Jeans: Articles of Society

New season means new lip colors! Since I usually stick with nudes all Spring/Summer long, I always get excited to change it up for Fall and add some darker colors to my lip collection. I probably spent about 30 minutes the other day at the Lancome counter at Nordstrom trying on a million different colors (so sorry to the sales person who had to help me!). I narrowed it down to a couple colors, but “Plum Plum Girl” was my favorite! It has a nice matte finish, but does NOT dry out my lips!  I also got this one in the color “Berry Noir”.

If you’re going to be shopping for some new fall lip colors (or any other makeup), now is the perfect time to do so because Lancome is giving a gift with purchase at Nordstrom! If you spend $39.99 or more (thats 2 lipsticks), you get a gift valued at $125 (ummm heck yes!!).

^^^ That’s everything you get! Also, I’ve been using that makeup remover since I was 15, and it’s the BEST!

Designer Jewelry with Switch

Earrings: Switch | Bracelets: Switch | Sweater: Leith | Skirt: Blank NYC | Boots: Steve Madden | Purse: Gucci

Happy Friday, y’all! I am SO excited to share a new company I recently learned about called Switch. It’s no secret that I love Chanel, but being a recent college grad, I can’t just go out and buy new designer jewelry all the time. Switch is a company that provides access to designer jewelry starting at $29 a month. Y’all know I signed up for that immediately!!

They have tons of designers from David Yurman to Hermes, but of course I went for the Chanel! What I love is that you get to switch it up all the time and have new designer pieces every month (every girl’s dream, right?!)

I wore the pieces with this black sweater and suede skirt yesterday in Vermont. We took a mini road trip to Stowe (my mom’s absolute favorite town) and had a blast! I’m so sad we have to go home tomorrow.. back to warm weather and humidity in Houston!

I hope everyone has a great weekend!!

Since we never really experience good fall weather in Houston, Dede, my mom, and I flew up to Vermont to experience a real fall. Well, since I have the worst luck ever, we get here and it’s 90 degrees. Everyone we have talked to who lives here has said this weather is extremely abnormal and it’s usually in the 50s by now. We’ve been here for two days and luckily we will be getting a cool front tomorrow!

Even though the weather hasn’t been great yet, the scenery is absolutely gorgeous!! Can we talk about how adorable this stoop is?! I originally saw it on Instagram and knew I had to make a stop!

When prepping for this trip, I was able to find tons of great fall pieces at Nordstrom (at amazing prices too!!). They actually have a Fall 2017 page, which makes it nice and convenient. I linked all my outfit details above and below!

Hair Extensions Q&A

Dress: Free People | Purse: BCBG | Heels: Similar

Last month, I got hair extensions for the first time. I have wanted extensions for years (not necessarily for the volume, but for the length), but could never bring myself to actually do it. I was always afraid you would be able to see the difference between my real hair and extensions, which is NOT a cute look!

My best friend, Dede, has been going to Carlos at Trademark Salon for about four years and recently got extensions by him. After seeing how amazing her’s looked, I booked an appointment with Carlos, and SO glad I did!! I am absolutely in love with them! I get tons of questions on them everyday, so here are the most common ones:

What type of hair extensions do you have?

They are called “Natural Beaded Rows”. They are not tape-in or clip-in, they are actually sewn in!

How long do they last?

They last about 6-8 weeks. I will be going 8 weeks before getting mine redone, because thats when I go back to get highlights!

Can you wash/style them like normal hair?

Yes! Even though the whole process takes longer than normal, my routine is exactly the same. Since it does take me about 35 minutes to dry my hair, then another 35-45 minutes to curl it, I only wash my hair once a week. Dry shampoo is my best friend (; haha

Can you still put your hair up like normal?

YES! That has probably been one of my favorite parts about having extensions.. the pony tails! I’d never been able to do high pony tails cause my hair hadn’t been long enough, so being able to put it up has been so fun for me. A lot of y’all have been asking for pony tail tutorials, so that is definitely on my to-do list!

How much do they cost?

The extensions are definitely an investment! Here is a link that has more information: https://trademarksalon.wufoo.com/forms/n14x6ajk04painc/

If you have any other questions that I did not answer, please feel free to leave a comment or shoot me an email at eherren@champagneandchanel.com! I hope y’all have a great week!

A couple weeks ago, I got to experience my first New York Fashion Week, and it was one of the absolute best weeks of my life! It has always been a dream of mine to attend NYFW and I can’t believe it became a reality this year! From meetings, to shows, to parties, the week was busy busy busy (in a GOOD way of course)!

I have to be honest, I was extremely nervous coming into this week because I had no idea what to expect. I tend to get overwhelmed easily in situations where I’m pushed outside my comfort zone. With that being said, there’s absolutely no way I would’ve survived the week without my amazing roomies, Dede, Lauren, and Dani! Having girls that constantly lift each other up and stay positive through every situation was amazing. These girls have truly been the biggest blessing in my life!  We stayed at Dream Hotel, which was incredible, so I’ll be doing a full blog post on that next week to tell y’all about the whole experience!

All the outfits that I wore are linked above and below (: I hope y’all have a great weekend!!

Sweater: BP. | Jeans: Articles of Society | Booties: Kristin Cavallari | Clutch: BP. | Hat: Similar

For those of y’all who don’t know, I went to Texas A&M University, and graduated this past December. A&M’s #1 rival is University of Texas, whose school colors are burnt orange and white, which is why I’m a little embarrassed to say burnt orange is my favorite color right now (Aggies, please don’t send hate mail)! I’ve been seeing this color EVERYWHERE, and it has definitely grown on me- reminds me of a pumpkin spice latte!

I got my sweater from Nordstrom, and it’s under $40!! I just wanted to remind y’all that Nordstrom has such a wide range of price ranges, and there really is something for everyone! Also, my leopard clutch is under $50. I had always been a big fan of the Clare V clutch, but this one is at a much better price point!

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

How To Achieve The Smoothest Skin

I have struggled with very dry skin my entire life. I can’t tell y’all how many products I’ve tried that say “for dry skin”, but just don’t do the job. I heard about Kopari coconut oil products a while back, so I decided to test out a few of them to see what all the hype was about. Y’all….”obsessed” would absolutely be an understatement. If you’ve ever struggled with having healthy, smooth skin, you have to try these products. I tried four different products (body scrub, coconut melt, body milk, and body oil), and reviews are down below!

I’ve always had a love-hate relationship when it comes to body scrubs. I love exfoliating my skin, but normal scrubs will usually take away the little oil my skin does have and leave it feeling extremely dry. So when I tried this coconut oil scrub for the first time, I fell in LOVE. Y’all, this stuff is so hydrating and leaves your skin SO smooth!

Next, I love this coconut melt because you can use it for several different things. I use it most to moisturize my face and take off my makeup. I also use it as a hair mask once every couple weeks!

The coconut body milk is easily one of the most moisturizing lotions I’ve ever used! As I said before, I have tried so many different lotions, and this one definitely leaves my skin feeling smooth all day- not just an hour after applying.

Last, but certainly not least, this coconut body oil is ahhhmazing!! The number one issue I’ve always has with body oils is looking too “greasy”. I know that sounds gross, but it’s the truth! I use this oil all the time because it leaves your skin with the prettiest glow.
